Installing QLview for Fibre
3.1
Introduction
You can install QLview for Fibre by downloading the software from the QLogic
web site or by using the QLogic Management Suite (QMS) CD-ROM. After you
download the software or insert the CD-ROM, follow the steps listed in section 3.4
to complete the installation.
3.2
Installation Options
QLview for Fibre supports both stand-alone and networked configurations. Install
the software appropriate for your configuration (see table 3-1):

This system will monitor QLA2xxx adapters
locally.
QLview for Fibre Application
and
QLview for Fibre NT/2000 Agent
Networked
This system will monitor QLA2xxx adapters
locally and on remote systems on the same
network.
QLview for Fibre Application
and
QLview for Fibre NT/2000 Agent
This system will monitor QLA2xxx adapters
only on remote systems on the same network.
QLview for Fibre Application
The QLA2xxx adapters on this
Windows NT/Windows 2000 system will be
remotely monitored only from other systems
on the same network.
QLview for Fibre NT/2000 Agent
The QLA2xxx adapters on the NetWare server
will be remotely monitored only from other
systems on the same network.
