1.2 iSCSI based Block Storage
The Ethernet interface functions on these installed CNAs can also be configured and used for general
connectivity and hence also support high speed 10Gb iSCSI. This section will discuss the configuration of
the 10Gb CNA interfaces and iSCSI in a converged network.
Because the connectivity practices may vary between FCoE connectivity vendors, this example will only
discuss configuring both interfaces as VLAN-aware; this will facilitate increased flexibility for various
vendors at the networking level.
Both eth0 and eth1 will be configured to each support a VLAN-aware virtual interface. First, the base
interface must be configured to best support subsequent virtual interfaces.
